Efforts to include talent from all backgrounds at all levels of the educational experience (broadening participation, National Science Foundation, 2017) are expanding the supports given at all levels of the academic experience.  Representatives from the Leadership Alliance (collegiate) and Southern Regional Educational Board-Doctoral Scholars Program (graduate) will discuss best practices in positioning students from diverse backgrounds for the progression from college to graduate school.
